baerbel 0 Posted May 7, 2008 A grave yard in western Massachusetts. Most of these tomb stones date back to the early or mid 1800s. I found the different shapes and sizes fascinating, like walking through a sculpture garden. :) Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Shawn, it was not marked as such and most of the dates were pre-civil war, so I don't think so. I noticed women were buried there, as well. It is located near the little historic town of Deerfield, Ma, and we go to the area often, as this is where my husband comes from. Next time I will check into the history of the graveyard more thoroughly. Most might find it eerey to walk among all of those tombstones, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will also take some pictures of the inscriptiones, as they were quite unique. Thanks for your interest. B ;) Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted May 9, 2008 Shawn, there is a little bit of witch in all of us women - or is that bitch? In any case, I will find out more about the history of the above, so stay tuned. :) Link to comment
