Dune Ripples

This was taken in Death Valley National Park, it is a composite of six seperate images. I used the camera in portrait orintation, zoomed in and shot one image, focusing one for the foreground, middle ground and the background. Then shifted camera right and shot the second image. Focusing for the foreground, middle and background. Then took the two seperate shots layered them in photoshop to get the depth of field needed for each image. Then stiched those two images together to get the final image. I ended up with a 16"x20" master image without have to up size the orginial.

This really quite beautiful; and the depth-of-field that you have achieved is stunning. I really like the lighting conditions, colors, and tones contained in this image. Inclusion of the mountains in the background came off very nicely; really emphasizes the sense of depth. Well done, Eric! Cheers! Chris

I just read the technical details-great idea. That is not easy to do. I have experimented doing the same thing only with macro. Congrats!
