derek_schillings 0 Posted August 31, 2002 Wow, those are ANGRY clouds. Did you use a red filter? Link to comment
aaron l 0 Posted August 31, 2002 Cool. Nothing like emphasizing the clouds and making the patrons of the dock seem not to care about the atmospheric events unfolding behind them one bit. Link to comment
daniel_graves 0 Posted August 31, 2002 Ooh, this I like. That sky is amazing. The people in the foreground just calmly fishing while it loks like all hell is about to break loose make this one. Link to comment
richard masoner 0 Posted September 13, 2002 Juxtaposing the seemingly unconcerned men fishing in calm waters with the storm in the distance results in an amazingly surreal composition. The only "problem" seems to be some "jaggies" or anti-aliasing in the image I'm seeing. Then again it adds to the painted look of this photo. Link to comment
tom_schonhoff 0 Posted September 17, 2002 You seem to have made a very smart cropping decision here (the unusual shape of the image being my only clue). The line formed by the pier aims right at the threatening storm - or is it the other way around? I love the way the eye tracks across this. Link to comment
ghiebert 0 Posted September 25, 2002 I find that dark storm clouds have weight, body, immenseness, and it scares me. It's like being a few feet from the power of God. That's the feeling I get here, and I remember some of those times when it seemed like I was a hairbreadth away from destruction by all that force. This print is one I would love to have. I'll try to post one of my own storm shots in the next week or so. Link to comment
