armindo_lopes 1 Posted May 4, 2008 Really a very good image. I had a look at your equipment to understand how you got such a good DOF. Now, I understand. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted May 6, 2008 I've been trying my hand at capturing birds lately but find that I must get a teleconverter. I'm too noisey when I try to sneak up on them! Your images are inspirational. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 6, 2008 If you have patience and go out a lot, the birds get used to you and will come closer. I used to shoot birds with a 200 mm lens and was happy with a lot of the images I'd get. It's SO much easier with a 500 mm, but you can do it with a shorter lens. The key is great bird seed and get them used to you. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 7, 2008 I also have a portable camo blind that works well, too. It has a net part where your face goes and velcro openings for your camera to poke through. Thanks for visiting, guys! Link to comment
