mg 0 Posted May 3, 2008 Very interesting. It's amazing how "busy" the picture is, although there's so little within its borders. Just a face and the perls. Could be a minimalistic shot. But here you made it so busy and complex by dividing the face between a light and a shadow area, then by adding the water drops - which connect with the shape of the pearls. And finally you increase the contrast sky high too. I'd say you made clear cut creative choices, and choices which I find ambitious and interesting - although they may not be my own choices if I had to shoot this. I would personally prefer a more minimalistic treatment, or at least I'd make sure to keep the contrast within reasonable limits if producing a picture that's already so busy. But in fact I appreciate the calls you made too. Just another way of looking at things. And I like the water drops and pearls combined. I still think you probably whitened the eyes a bit too heavily here. Cheers. Link to comment
carlos miguez 0 Posted May 3, 2008 La veo demasiado barroca, demasiado sobrecargada y, por tanto, algo falta de naturalidad (por lo demᳬ la zona blanca de abajo a la izquierda es algo molesta en el conjunto de la tonalidad oscura de la foto). En cualquier caso, tiene fuerza y el encuadre estᠭuy conseguido para resaltar todos los elementos de la foto. Me gusta. Link to comment
