pgavalis 0 Posted May 2, 2008 GREAT idea and perfectly composed. IMO I would crop out the bend below the knee. It would give it a much more dramatic and creative effect. Well done! Pete. Link to comment
Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted May 2, 2008 One of the best abstract nudes I've seen. Pete might be right - croping could be good, but I like it the way it is. 7/7. Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted May 2, 2008 Original and beautiful composition. The hi-key effect just improves the beauty of the image. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted May 2, 2008 A beautiful photograph. I'm not sure about Jim's suggestion but would love to see it without any of the face. That would be far more abstract. Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted May 3, 2008 This is one of the best abstract nudes I have ever seen. Jim Phelps Link to comment
mariusnecula 0 Posted May 3, 2008 Thanks for all your kind comments and appreciations, your feedback means a lot to me... I would also like to see comments from the ones who gave ratings of 4 or below, even if they would be hard to digest, because I want to understand their point of view... otherwise this may seem like a random rating process. Thank you all, again! Link to comment
havanai 0 Posted May 4, 2008 This is a beautifully conceived photograph using the body's contours to create an abstract image. It is somewhat reminiscent of one of the 25 highest rated nudes on photo.net: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3983750 I can't say that I like the inclusion of the partial facial profile though. It is so much darker than the other contours of the image that it draws inordinate attention to it...at the expense of the abstract contours of the rest of the image. And those contours are the main point of the image, so I think the nose and lips complicate and thereby lessen the beautiful simplicity of the image. Still, it is well done. Link to comment
sakke 0 Posted May 5, 2008 So refreshingly different! A beautiful picture, best regards, Sakke Link to comment
JatinderKeith 0 Posted May 25, 2008 It is a classic example of artistic presentation of the female body without exposing her modesty. There is no nudity; just sheer art. IMO it excels the photographs quoted above. I do not view it as an abstract but an apt and very imaginative expression of the caption; 'The Inner Space'. The profile of the face, hiding the inward looking eyes, enhances this expression. The bend under the knee slightly dilutes it.It does not form part of the 'inner space'. Crop this bend out and you deserve 7/7 for the photograph and the caption. Link to comment
