I took this photo with faster and slower speeds, to get the different

effects on the water, sharp and smooth running like water. Which one

would you prefer?

I love taking water images, I prefer the water to be captured running smooth, the smoother the better in my opinion. Certainly in scenes like the one you have taken. Do you use a polarizing filter? Perfect for use with water, cuts reflections, saturate's colours, and doesnt let as much light in allowing you to leave that shutter open a bit longer. Just have to watch the hotspots in the water that can overexpose with a slower shutter speed. I think capturing the water dead still is better for action shots.
