Its actually a very good picture.

 

I can see why you stopped to take this photo.

 

There are some lovely colours in and around the dirt track.

 

One of the most difficult things to do in photography, is to control contrast issues with the back ground sky. This is somthing I have diffuculty with too.

 

maybe a different time of day might fix it, but I hope the next critiquer can tell us how to go about it.

The sky is burnt. Unless it is a desired effect, the only way to avoid it in a high contrast scene like this is HDR. I think you have more interesting pictures of the same kind in your portfolio, apart from your fantastic birds and insect macros.. Regards, Marco
