Ah, nothing like a barbeque after a long, wet winter. Those little birds are particularly good with a spicy barbeque sauce; I eat them bones and all -love the crunch. So throw another canary on the barby, I'll be right over.

Jack, I hadn't connected the birdcages with the barbecue--but now that you mention it that makes the scene all the more bizarre. (It was found--I don't think I could dream this up.) Apparently some part of me recognized its inherent weirdness, because I held onto it for a year before I posted it. Best, Dan
