Gorgeous landscape! Now, what's wrong with the scan? Surely this can't be a teensy little crop. Is it a bad slide scan? I've rated this photo a bit more on what I think it looks like in real life than how it looks here.

How come the size of the flowers in distance is the same as the size of the flowers close to the camera? It should not be visible so far from the camera's wide angle lens.

Your pictures are great though.

I don`t use a Photoshop, but I`ve got a good tip for everyone: PHOTOSHOP = Fuji Velvia + very good lens hood + polarizing filter + sometimes graduated ND filter + good Minolta`s Dimage Scan Dual II. That`s it - this is my Photoshop. The Nature is colourful and saturated, and I like it. And I like my Velvia too. I`m not a scientist. I try to photograph the nature in the way I see her, not in the way she`s lookings real (I think this is impossible - in any case).

Thanks for nice comments. Andreas Babik

a little too much grad ND in my opinion. the dark band across the middle of the picture is very noticable as is the fact that that the reflection in the water is lighter than the actual subject in the background. try to make the use of these filters a little less noticable--i know, its hard to do. otherwise its a nice picture.

A really nice shot, and well executed - you know your tools. I admire your portfolio - it's simply dripping with color. It's also nice to see you're a purist. There's a time and place for Photoshop, and there's also a time to leave well enough alone. Don't get too hung up on the negative critique. I think you're stuff looks fabulous. Some people just dream in color - others don't. Keep up the good work.

Amateur photo mags lap up this type of image. Send it in and if it gets printed full page (yes high chance due to portrait format) you should receive a 3 figure sum. Nice photo

This shot is one of the reasons I decided the 20-35usm lens would be a good lens.

This is a great shot. Wonderfully composed. Great colors. Good sharpness. What every landscape photo should have an interesting fore mid and background.

Well done.
