neciphoto 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Just one of the shots of a series I did near the end of last summer at Stockers Lake Hertfordshire. UK. Natural late afternoon Sun. I used a 2xII on the Canon 300mm F2.8LIS, AIServo focusing with a Canon 5D. Link to comment

kurt2006 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Hey Necip, I generally dislike insects, but some species have always fascinated me. This series of dragonflies is excellent. The clarity of result you achieved with your 5D is amazing, and the artistic quality with the various pastel backgrounds is wonderful! Great work. Link to comment
tsypkin 230 Posted May 30, 2008 Beautiful capture! The fact that somebody could rate it 3/3 demonstrates how broken the rating system at PN is. Link to comment
neciphoto 0 Posted May 31, 2008 Thanks Mikhail I appretiate your thoughts about the 3/3 I did wonder being my first post here why anyone would rate probably my best shot I've ever taken below average. It does knock your confidence a lot initially, admin say it's probably someone who doesn't like the subject and not to take the rating seriously. After using the site for a few weeks I think my conclusion is it's likely to be someone who has got a very high ratings themselves undeservedly at the time and they didn't want this shot to appear in the higher rankings probably because theirs is a similar subject but poor in comparison. Hey who knows it could also be a joker kid who got a bogus account. Like admin says try not to take it seriously is the best way to be. Cheers. Link to comment
kurt2006 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Necip, everyone can see this is an excellent photograph. You must learn to ignore the "ratings" numbers. At first, this is difficult to do, especially when you are proud of your work. You can always submit "critique only" so that no numbers are involved, but it is sometimes interesting to see numbers, good or bad. I really like this photograph, you are pro. Link to comment
