Amazing! So, this is how flies will look like in year 2003!?

Hehe ... dumb jokes aside, this is a awesome picture of a fly. Simply wow!

Amazing shot. Bugs are a lot more interesting and complex than people give them credit for. Great idea, and well done!

Hey, what do you tell your model to sit still (or is she dead?) - seriously - how do you keep`em still?

I don't know why this one just sat there. It was in the morning and a little chilly so maybe that had something to do with it. It was alive because it moved it's wings every now and then. Another good way to get bugs is by the porch light at night. They don't seem to notice a camera in their face as much.

Nice work. I had no idea what this was from the thumbnail. I also had no idea how ugly a fly looks close-up. Really gross, but I enjoy looking at macro shots of insects like this. This is one of the better ones I've seen.

Hi!

Well, one can obviously see that flies are best kept the size they are :). Great shot. Now, if you permit, I will borrow your idea and use similar technique - 50 mm lense, extension tubes and probably TC just as well.

Technically impressive. It there was a 'technique' rating,

I would set it to excellent. I only rated 'good' the aesthetics since the subject is... not so attractive.

If it were a dragonfly/butterfly closeup the ratings would be higher.

I just stumpled across this again. I guess I had voted on it awhile ago. What an absolutely fantastic shot. Congrats!
