For me this is what photography is all about.

The contrast between the massive skyscrapers and the slender neck and legs of the heron is beautiful.

Well done on this. Between the good camera work and PS work, not much to pick on. Who cares if the heron is center....Well done folder also.

Nice to find you here. Another photographer referred me to this place. It is definitely filled with talent. I need to go back to shooting and editing and less posting ...if you know what I mean. Take care.

Kenneth, this is a great photograph. I love taking night shots of cities, but what is your secret? How do you calculate exposure? You can see some of my attempts, shot in London and Sydney, and they are OK but your command of exposure is awesome!

Maginificent work. Care to give me some tips so my lame attempts at this kind of photography can get better? Seriously, this is a wonderful composition and the added perspective of the heron in the foreground only adds to the spectacle of the skyscrapers. Outstanding.

Kenneth: Just looking at this image reminds me of your mastery of film media. I think you have one of the finest contemplative talents on this site and I miss being able to see your latest work. The thought and care that goes into each of your images is an inspiration to this vastly less talented viewer. Please let us see more of your work. I would not expect you to comment on the work of others but I know that we would all love to see what sort of images you are producing now.

I like very much the opposition between the nature and the wildlife, represented by the heron on the rock, and the town on the other side of the lake. But the opposition here is not synonym of fight nor exclusion, for the town do'nt seems repulsive and its reflections in the water come to meet the heron and caress it.

The opinon that strikes me is very similar to that of Henri's. I love that the relationship between civilization and the wild are symbiotic. That no matter how sophisticated we get, our roots and origins are still right next to us, or in this case, right across the river.
