RickDB 10 Posted April 3, 2008 A lovely and beautifully preserved cathedral, often overlooked for nearby Salisbury Cathedral. Link to comment
pascalagneray 0 Posted April 3, 2008 Your technique is really good. Do you know of Dennis Aubray? He also uses a tilt and shift lens and his work is in tune with yours. Very nice picture. Link to comment
RickDB 10 Posted April 3, 2008 ...It was Dennis' amazing pictures that prompted me to acquire a TS lens and Chichester Cathedral was my first attempt to emulate his technique - clearly he has taught me well! Thanks for taking the time to comment, Cheers! RickDB Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted April 3, 2008 ... this is very exciting, seeing what you are shooting. Have you started to post any non-HDR pictures yet? Interested to see what you've come up with there as well. I really like how you've gotten the ts down, no distortion at all. Well done! Link to comment
RickDB 10 Posted April 4, 2008 ...My first color photograph (1965) was a rather ambitious shot of the whispering gallery at St.Paul's in London - I'm afraid it didn't do justice to the magnificent building. Now, with the TS lens / digital HDR techniques you really can capture that feeling of awe you get when you step inside a medieval cathedral. I have very few non-HDR pictues of any merit from this trip - the weather was awful - overcast and grey, raining (also sleet/snow), misty and not a hint of color in the sky at sunrise or sunset for two weeks. I'll just have to go back in the summer! Thanks for your kind comments, oh, and the lack of distortion was the result of paying heed to your comments on my trial run with the TS lens. Cheers!
