einar 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Comments welcome :-) The photography shows my 80year old father in his kitchen while he was watching his grandchildren playing around. He is not in good health, and bringing him into a studio is basically impossible. Given the circumstances I felt this was a good shot of my old man. Link to comment

pascalagneray 0 Posted April 1, 2008 I wish to look that unhealthy if I ever reach 80 years old. Fine picture of a man who looks to have great character and vitality. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted April 1, 2008 What wonderful character in this face, the eyes are sharp, as well as the smile. As a comment, I find the image a little too soft (washed) and might bring more detail with a few brightness/contrast and levels adjustments. I hope you don't mind, I've been presumptuous enough to try some small changes... your shot is one that you will want framed, I'm sure. Mike Link to comment
mark_starr 0 Posted April 2, 2008 Who needs a studio with a portrait like this? I doubt you would capture the obvious joy displayed in this photo in a studio, and I imagine this is not only what he is like, but how he would like to be remembered. It's really great to see portraits like this- Mark Link to comment
einar 0 Posted April 3, 2008 Thanks for your comment. Agree to some extent with you. I found it hard to find the "best" contrast, and I guess its down to taste in the end. Link to comment
