mark_q 0 Posted April 7, 2008 Now back home and viewing this large on my own display. So much said about the chain and symbolism around it already... well maybe the superficial me only can add my fascination to the lower part of the photo with the bluish area reflecting light like a another kind of a cloud and freshing up the golden reflections on those water drops around. All in all a very successful capture, Jeff. Link to comment
manuel barrera houston, 0 Posted April 7, 2008 With great surprise did I read no photoshop, great eye, Jeff, to see the image where I for one would have walked by, Link to comment
halina_lewandowski 0 Posted April 7, 2008 Very artistic. Love the colors and composition. You've created a fantastic background for the chain. Best regards. Link to comment
vidisorin 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Excellent cromatic, ideea and kowing that it is not a multiple or layered image makes it even better....you drive originality beyond ... Best regards Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 10, 2008 High drama and an abundance of riches in mundane places. I'm not sure what I think of the chain but that's nothing new, I'm not sure what I think of almost anything currently. I'm back from SF, camera is ok, computer is ok but any sense of discernment seems to have disappeared. I haven't even picked up the camera for a week now; glad to see you're still pushing on. bartimeus1 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Sorrow, hope, wishing, hopelesness, strong presence, nostalgy and getting away from it.... My first impressions from this one. Intriquing and definitely captivating piece of photo art! My respect for creating and capturing this one and so many others! Alpo P.S. Thank you again for the comments! Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted April 17, 2008 Gordon: I like that I have a signature color scheme. Thanks for the exceptional review. Bob: I like that you like it. Artur: Thanks for stopping by. Markku: It's hard to create something unique (and I'm not sure this qualifies), but I did like the weirdness of the scene. Manuel: This was tweaked a bit, color-wise, but other than that, this hasn't been altered. Thanks. Halina: Thanks so much. Sorin: I'm blessed with more luck than skill. Jack: Delayed. I'm glad you found your muse again. As far as the chain...why not? Alec: Thanks. Alina: This does have a Vulcan feel to it. Utilitarian. Tolo: Gracias, otra vez. Rakesh: I'm glad you were provoked. Alpo: You've projected such pathos into this shot. Thanks. Link to comment

bob_belanger 1 Posted May 14, 2008 Very cool image. As always you seem to provoke much discussion. I'll have to come back and look at the comments. I like the image a lot. I really like the water drops and the slight glare, also the brownish colors adds something to it as well. Regards, Bob Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted May 14, 2008 Diana: Belatedly...thanks. Bob: This was a picture of a glass door at the greenhouse at Wellesley College. It's a really cool place to spend a few hours with a camera. The "stuff" in the background is from the plants and pots. And the clouds were rolling by. I tweaked the color a bit to make it different. Thanks. Link to comment
