mark_rosen 0 Posted September 9, 2002 I personally don't like the positioning of the "horizon line" (the line were the trees start). I would prefer it to be much lower. The cool thing about the picture is the fog; moving the start of the trees lower in the frame would include more fog. Link to comment
eco_foto 0 Posted September 11, 2002 Thanks, for the comment and will definatley crop the image for an upcoming show Im having. Link to comment
mtnrock 0 Posted September 12, 2002 Some cropping of the bottom is a good idea, though I don't know if cropping halfway up to the trees or real close to the bottom of the trees is better. Gives it a bit of a panoraminc feel when real close to bottom of trees. I'd also consider making it B&W, since it's so slose already. I'm discerning from the comments you made on my shots that you really like the fog. Have you considered moving out here to San Francisco??? Your eye would get some great visions. Link to comment
eco_foto 0 Posted September 18, 2002 I have given it some thought but do have huge problems re. entry. Link to comment
root 0 Posted October 15, 2002 I'd crop quite a bit - both leaning trees and most of the foreground. the hedge would be balanced and the foreground leafy tree and especially the center fog tree would get more attention Link to comment
woodsprite 0 Posted October 16, 2002 I agree with Carl; there is a lovely photograph in there, cropping a bit on top and bottom will reveal it. Very nice contemplative feel. :) Jacki Link to comment
e.j._clifford 0 Posted October 24, 2002 Love the feel of this shot. trees in forground are bold and hard while background is soft and muted. Nice shot Link to comment
peter_eisenburger 0 Posted January 17, 2003 If this is the original image and not already the cropped one: I would keep it as it is. The bottom adds depth to the image and a kind of distance. Good work. Link to comment
rita_borg 0 Posted March 21, 2003 ME TOO, I LIKE IT JUST HOW IT IS, IMO CROPPING THE BOTTOM WILL MAKE IT LOOK LIKE ALL THE OTHER PICTURES OF TREES! WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAS TO BE THE SAME?! Link to comment
claudia_mayer 0 Posted March 27, 2003 I like this the way it is. If you must though, take just a tiny bit off the bottom. It has a very (hate to say this) Lord of the Rings/ fantasy feel to it almost. Link to comment
bryan_martin______________ 0 Posted March 28, 2003 a really great shot!!!.....change nothing!!! Link to comment
briany 0 Posted April 12, 2003 I agree with some of the earlier posts. A little cropping might work nicely. It is a pretty shot, but I don't think the foreground is really contributing much to the mood. Link to comment
gib 0 Posted May 8, 2003 really fine composition..... I had no idea the Leslie Street Spit could look this good. :) Link to comment
vishwa 0 Posted July 25, 2003 a fine shot. You could crop ever so slightly from the bottom. I am not for getting rid of the bottom entirely. Very nice mood. I was imagining your smoker having a peaceful smoke in the midst of all this - ;^) I can imagine his pleasure, as I used to smoke until recently myself. Link to comment
derek_laird 0 Posted August 6, 2003 Really nice atmosphere, think it works in colour or mono! Link to comment
agustin barrutia 0 Posted August 7, 2003 Nice image Michael. I would frame it a little bit higher. Thanks for the good ratings =). Good luck! Agustin Link to comment
lionface375 0 Posted February 11, 2004 The fog made this mysterious. I like to view pictures taken years ago. Link to comment
