butterfly and insect portfolio American copper

Really common, but a favorite of mine. More dynamic than my usual

butterfly composition, taken just a fraction of a second before the

butterfly took off. What do you think?

Pretty butterfly. Around here we seem to get mostly monarchs and some yellow ones.

I like the way the grass(?) is positioned, with the one in fromt straight up and in focus and crossed behind with the out of focus one.

I do wish the butterfly was larger, though. It seems almost lost in the grass. I don't think cropping would help, though, because you'd lose what I like about the grass.
