donm 0 Posted March 25, 2008 Beautiful Image, Makes a person wonder just how old the tree is,and what made it grow like it has.In one way it loooks like a snake. Or it could be my imagination working over time. Went through your Porfolio and you have mny images that are tops. Congratulations. DonM Link to comment
pirateken 0 Posted March 25, 2008 thanks, don, yes its a very odd twisted tree.. it sits near a beach on ocracoke island N.C. there are many more of these trees along the path which leads to the water. this area was a favorite hideout of blackbeard the Pirate. cheers Link to comment
cphilpott 0 Posted March 26, 2008 I find the flow of the lines evocative and effective but the flat and limited contrast leaves me wondering what your goal was for the shot. Interested in your thoughts. Link to comment
pirateken 0 Posted March 26, 2008 yes,i agree.. i was really going for the grains in the wood and the composition itself. i have a couple different exposures of this image .. i will have to go back and see what the others look like. thanks for your comment Link to comment
Christa Binder 616 Posted April 7, 2008 Kenny, I love ocracoke, the best time we had was when we went in August, there were less people than in June or July. I have been 3 times and am going for 4, this summer. I havent had a chance to go to springers point yet, but have heard about it. Great Photo! Link to comment
