alan p 0 Posted March 24, 2008 Nice use of lighting, colour and simple geometry. I wonder if you could have had the person stand a little closer to the wall (to get more of his shadow) without him being visible on the left of the photo? I think it would be good to see a little more of the legs on the wall. It's a good idea and well seen. Link to comment
pascalagneray 0 Posted March 24, 2008 I think it has the best potential. The legs are missing from the body on the shade. What if you had your subject stand on pedestals, echasses or some wild contraption with unpredictable shades?...then our sense of aesthetics and our curiosity would be aroused. I am not one to teach for I do in the standard non provocative too but seeing such a beautiful composition and such a boring one too...I had to say those words for you and for me! Link to comment
davidmeiner 3 Posted March 24, 2008 Michael, I like this. You have each column's shadow and then this person is nicely spaced for the next shadow. Creative and appealing shot. Link to comment
mbaldea 0 Posted March 24, 2008 Thank you all for your comments. Having the legs of the person appear in the picture was a problem that I confronted when framing the shot. Regrettably, I had the choice between catching the 5 minutes of magic sunset light and rushing to improvise a pedestal, and I settled for the former. Link to comment

peter.blum 0 Posted February 23, 2009 Hi Michael, Nice, warm image with an original idea. Like the way the symmetri of the columns are broken by the shadow. Furthermore, the colors and light and composition, are just right making it a really good image. The diagonal lines finishing at the left, with the vertical lines of shadow, are just perfect. My compliments. Regards Peter Link to comment
