altereedem 0 Posted August 21, 2002 Neat one. Perhaps if the bear looked this way or you included what the bear was looking at it would have been an excellent shot Link to comment
keith_micoli 0 Posted August 21, 2002 I like the angle a lot, but my eye does get drawn to the out of focus area at the bottom center. Maybe if the bear were slightly closer to the center of the frame it would help that. There just seems to be a void in the center of the frame. I am aware that you don't want to put the subject smack in the middle, but the subject is on the small side, relatively, and it is quite close to the left edge. The only other object is the tree in the back on the right, and that is too out of focus to hold my eye. That is a wordy way of saying, "nice photo, but make the bear more prominent". Link to comment
james_yule 0 Posted August 22, 2002 I agree with you, but I have a soft spot for this bear so I kinda looked at its flaws and said what the heck. The situation was: Im pulled off the road sideways down the entrance to a camp ground. The bear is watching cars go by. Its taken from my window pod, and I thought the angle made it look like I was shooting from low to the ground. Dang bear never did look my way. Link to comment
