Brian 836 Posted July 24, 2001 Very amusing shot. You have captured the "period" very nicely. The model obviously enjoyed it as well. The off-vertical emphasis works well to add some drama to the shot. Link to comment
nick_christus 0 Posted July 24, 2001 she's smiling too much to be a bond girl. it should be a sly 'i don't like you but we're still going to have sex later' kind of smile. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 24, 2001 I really like the model, dress, and smile, but don't care for the prop. There's a certain warmth in this--it looks like photographer and model were having fun! Link to comment
charles_miller 0 Posted July 24, 2001 Actually a nice "pose" which blends the models figure very well. Lighting and tonality and exposure are good. The knot holes and other defects in the ladder detract from the purity and intensity of the shot. Perhaps increasing the depth of field slightly so that the ladder is slightly more in focus would convey a greater sense of depth and coherence. Link to comment
mbrown 1 Posted July 26, 2001 Thank you for all of your comments. This shot was really a spur of the moment thing. We did not set it up. I mainly like it because conveys how much fun we were having on the shoot. I do have other shots of Tamryn if you would like to have a look. http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=17961 Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 1, 2001 Yes, I am sorry I spent so much time in your weddings folder. That led me to believe that you were at about my level. But your other work, terrific, top notch, I'll stive to reach it. I like this shot...great fun. Spreads joy. Nice use of props, too! Link to comment
knittel 0 Posted March 3, 2005 Maybe it is the attractiveness of the model, but I love this shot. It seems very natural and fun. The smile is fantastic. If this was planned, then you might have thought about moving to the right a little to get all of the model btween the ladder (?) and having her put the "gun" a little lower. chris Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted March 5, 2005 It's funny--I remember this photo from nearly 4 years ago. She's an amazingly appealing model and you've photographed her perfectly. Link to comment
mbrown 1 Posted March 6, 2005 Thanks, I would love to try and catch up with this model for another shoot, but being that I was out of action for 3 years I have lost all of my contacts, but I will keep trying to track her down. Link to comment
