mandymojica 0 Posted March 21, 2008 I really feel this Image needs something, maybe less saturation in some areas? I really don't know what it needs but all comments and critiques welcomed. Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted March 22, 2008 hmmm, ok, here is my thought. You have a lot of textures and details in this photo. Lines and colors are strong and intricate. Your main subject seems out of place, too disconnected. All the details make for an emotional investment, maybe some eye contact or just a face in the image would lead to a more complete photo. Just a thought. Take care, Doug. Link to comment
geertje 0 Posted March 29, 2008 But Mandy, sitting on your toes that way it's very hard to stay in balance. Makes me as a viewer expect a movement any time. Though (to me) the background and the title suggests she has been sitting like that for quite some time.. I wonder what would happen if you would change the background ( making the wall the floor) and turn the photo as if she was lying on a floor. But I do realise you would also have to adjust the title then for she would not be "closed in" anymore.. hmmm.. difficult. But still a very good photo. The "mood" is there for sure! Link to comment
geertje 0 Posted March 29, 2008 Please forget what I said about turning the photo. I actually tried to picture myself feeling closed in. The posture is good, but I would be looking for some support. Something I could "trust" on. Hide into a corner or at least lean against a wall. Or feel the full contact of a floor. To me she floats too much. Wow lady, you kept me busy for a while ;) THANKS!
