Good picture! I would make a try with croping the bottom, I find them too light. Then a little bit the left side to keep it proportional. Otherwise, I think the background is too strong. Maybe a lower angle would have made the guy bigger e.g. I guess it is too late for this :-)

Was this an overexposed negative? Whatever happened that made you have to dodge and burn, it worked! You have a picture of an ancient lifestyle with the look of a 19th century photograph! Gorgeous-everything is placed perfectly.
