Although I can vaguely see branches (mostly due to your title), I almost see this as a dyed cloth. The color is stunning. There gives the feel of a slight breeze blowing across the scene, creating ripples. Another fantastic abstract!!

Thanks for the feed back. Sometime it is hard to divorce myself from having been present when the image was taken. In my neighborhood and indeed all over the world , natural forests are replaced with mono-cultured tree farms every day. I see these farm forests photographed so often and the usual approach is to play off of the fact that the trees are all lined up in rows. I have been trying to get a good drive-by of one of these forests that does not capitalize on that aspect in the typical fashion. For me, having been there, I can see the single uniform trunks with the grasses at the base and the needles at the top. Now that you mention it, I can also easily see this as fabric, which indeed also has a uniform pattern.

I like this alot, it is very similar to the Sunrise Between The Sea and the Sand that you did, which I also liked a lot. The texture is great and like a canvas with thick oils. So, what forest has purple tree trunks? I didn't realize Alice'n'Wonderland was from Canada!

I see almost a silk curtain blowing ever so slightly in the breeze. Really lovely texture and the slight curve of lines and the bottom is what gives me that curtain feeling. It's interesting, living here in San Francisco where we often get sunlight filtered through fog, I often feel as if I'm looking at scenes through curtains. There's a fluidity about this that is really exceptional. Very calming to my senses.

reminds me of camping - making the 1st fire of the evening at dusk - the closest trees always seemed to pull away from the leaping flames - the forrest always surrounds with cold indifference. Wonderful play with color!!!

Love those twists in the top and the bottom. Great use of motion again. What i always admire in your works is all those tiny little lines running through the photo, that is quite difficult to achieve.

Like fabric, like curtains, like your "...Sea and the Sand" shot, like beautiful, and calming like Fred said. When it comes to motion shots and painting with light, you da man, Gord, you da man!

Wow Gordon, exceptional image, beautiful pastel like colours, it must be fun to be able to weave those spider webs like you do. Cheers. :)
