danny3 0 Posted March 27, 2008 THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING IMAGE,I LIKE IT , THE TOWN I LIVE IN WAS STARTED BY A RAILROAD STATION,AND IVE BEEN MEANING TO GET DOWN TO THE TRACKS , BUT IT WILL COME IN TIME. THANK YOU FOR THE VEIWS AND COMMENTS THEY HELP ME OUT ALOT. BUT I WONT GET BUT SO GOOD WITH THE CAMERA I HAVE. THAT WILL COME IN TIME ALSO. I SEE YOU DID NOT GET RUN OVER BY A TRAIN ... This shot for me offers a few transitions - the shift from almost a black & white shot into a color shot, as the day breaks over the track and replaces cold with warmth with a promise to dry out the dew. As a viewer, my curiosity can be satisfied with just enough lighting between the rails to give me the detail needed to make out that part of the image. Not unlike actually being there, I'm sure. The cranes off in the distance give the tracks a purpose, a destination point, which ties this very long perspective together - so the choice of aperture was well suited for this shot instead of just focusing on the nearby quality of dew on track with a blurred out background which would have broken the purpose for the tracks.
