gcanyon 0 Posted March 16, 2008 A farmer from Jodhpur India who came to an eye camp to have his eyes examined. His face, and his demeanor, were of total dignity. Link to comment
milica_milekic 0 Posted March 16, 2008 I really like this. Among other things, I think the cropping is interesting for a portrait. And as for the dignity, it sort of shines through the photo. Thanks for posting! Link to comment

jaredmartin 0 Posted March 16, 2008 pretty astonishing, if there is manipulation I can't detect it, which is the best kind of course. strong sense of character, aggressive framing pushes the face out towards the viewer. balance of tone and color strengthens the integrity and the sinuous detail of line make this a memorable portrait. congratulations. gcanyon 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Thank you for all of your kind comments. I very much appreciate it. I first saw this man in a line of patients, screening for eye problems at an eye camp near his village in rural India. He told me that he was a farmer, and that he lived with his wife and son and their family. He did not regard himself as anything special. But to me, he had the face of Moses. Link to comment
