lonebearimages 0 Posted March 11, 2008 Very nice shot! I know; I have been right there in that little corner on the boardwalk trying to get the composition and exposure right. I also hiked up a hundred yards on the trail to Avalanche Lake and then climbed down on the rocks and took a couple of 'detail' shots looking down into Avalanche Gorge. Try it the next time you're up there; there are some terrific compositions to be had. Very nice work, Amigo. Any flowers down in there among the cedars on the walk up? Cheers! Chris Link to comment
ffrank 0 Posted March 11, 2008 Not yet Chris...there's still about 3 feet of snow covering the road. I took this in May 2006 and can't wait for it to open up this year. Thanks for stopping by. Fred Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted March 11, 2008 You know, I thought it was a little early; but you never know with the flaky weather we've all had of late. So you'd have to use snowshoes or x-country skis to get in here now, eh? It is about 80 degrees F today here, and the flowers are startin' to pop! Yippee! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
ffrank 0 Posted March 11, 2008 Great.....it's almost 40 F here and my wifes tulips are just starting to come up through the mud at the south end of the house. Snow in the forcast for tomorrow. And I was starting to think spring.....ha. Take care Chris. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted March 11, 2008 Brilliant! The green and turquoise are thrilling to see. This gives a wonderful sense of the spring thaw. Congrats on tulips. We're still waiting for any sign of life. Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted March 17, 2008 Such a beautiful stream within the gorge. Particulary like the 'stepped' stream flowing down within the narrow gorge, creating a beautiful pathway. Link to comment
