paula grenside 0 Posted March 16, 2008 I thought I was entering Dante's Inferno, Joseph. Really incredible creation. Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted March 16, 2008 The skulls and the colour compel me to make an association with Golgotha in a science fiction way. However since Persephone gives hope every time she returns from Hades in spring time the reference in the title puzzles me. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted March 16, 2008 Paula: Thank you. Hope you did not enter!Dimitris: I like your interpretation. As for the myth, there are many twist on her story. From wikipedia: "There is an archaic role for Persephone as the dread queen of the Underworld, whose very name it was forbidden to speak.". Some say while in Hades, she relished the role. You were the first to ask about the title :)Thank you for stopping by! Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Beautiful creation, Joseph. Love the palette. I liked the double skull entrance but thought their proximity to the right side affected the overall balance a bit. Thought a bit off the top and left side gave the Keep a bit more prominence and balance. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 17, 2008 Joe, very legendary atmospher, looks like another planet.... very creative. I agree with Doug about the skuls placement and ballance. Still very creative work. The red color palette adds to some ominous atmospher..;-)) Link to comment

paprika 0 Posted March 27, 2008 Beautiful work Joseph - great tones, interesting composition with the revers perspective and the contrasting textures. I would try to add a little green ( complimentary color to the red) - may be works - may be not. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted April 2, 2008 Here are they again: Very nice and mysterious! Maybe I would darken the left side a bit! PDE Link to comment
