jenniferleigh 0 Posted March 12, 2008 Horizontal was a good choice as it helps make you feel closer to the player. I would, however, suggest a vertical crop. Being that he is the only player you are seeing, the rest is just void space. Also, with the crop it will feel more intimate as you will be able to focus more on his facial expression than the background. I might also suggest if you have the means to do so, maybe desaturate the yellow fence line as it will help make the ball pop instead of getting lost. Boy I wish baseball season was back in Michigan! I can't wait! Link to comment
stevesieren 0 Posted March 12, 2008 Awesome shot. I think it would work as a vertical too if you decided to crop it and would make the pitcher more the center of attention than already is. Just place him in the left third of the frame. You might also want to straighten the horizon. Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted March 13, 2008 No, don't straighten the horizon. Tilt it more. I was thinking it would add some interest to play with this one. I love the tuff of dirt that his right foot scratched up. Great line of site. You are really brave to be standing there with a camera rather than a bat. Link to comment
