jmcconnell2 0 Posted March 8, 2008 Duane, I think this should have been shot in portrait orientation to get all of the glass and bottle in. Link to comment
daviddbfotoart 0 Posted March 10, 2008 What exactly were you looking for with this shot? Please dont take any offense to this, as it is in an open forum, but this shot shows a dreadful lack of technical and artistic technique. The angle is all wrong, you've cut off the top and bottom, no effort has been made in regard to lighting, the backdrop is awful, and as a product shot, the worst i've ever seen. I am hoping that you placed it on this forum to see if anyone would notice and comment on the really ordinary stuff. No matter what you do with product shots, they are boring. It is up to you to do something about the dullness of a photo of a bottle of wine and turn it into something worth looking at. Get to it's level, turn off your flash or take it off camera. Open up your aperture and drop down your DOF and stick in a little dutch angle, and start again. Remember, this is forgettable and ordinary. Avoid that with these detail shots and they can become very valuable in the final wedding product. Link to comment
