mike_stemberg 40 Posted March 5, 2008 Raquel, I am not entirely sure whether I really admire this image or not. I like the barrel as the them, and the positioning of it against the tunnel of light behind, and also the framing of the subject within the brick arch. Somethings work so well for me here, but then again something doesn't! I'm not sure what it is exactly that mildly spoils my appreciation of this piece. Is it that I feel there is too much of an evenness of light when I think there shouldn't be that? Or is it my perception that the colours are quasi-HDR and slightly oversaturated...I'm not sure, but all in all I can safely say that this your image grabbed my attention alright! Mark Keefer 4,794 Posted March 5, 2008 You have the camera setting right, you captured this well, it is an interesting arch and barrel but it just needs a little more in the photo. This is a great set/location for an interesting character to give this photo purpose. You could make this into a great photo. The light, shadows and color are captured perfectly. With the right character put into this you could knock our socks off. Link to comment

garethleyland 0 Posted March 9, 2012 Hi Raquel, glancing through your portfolio this caught my eye.First I was attracted to the contrasting light on the wall followed by the detail in the brickwork. Then something didn't seem quite right, and I think (this is only my opinion) that this would look better if the left wall corner was corrected to be vertical.Very nice lighting and detail though.Best regardsGareth.
