"Starling Sky"
We were caught in a downpour on an otherwise nice day in Homer, AK. We took refuge under a small bridge, noting that our presence stirred up the many Starlings roosted there. As the rain stopped, we let out a Whoop! of happiness (as we had lots of miles to hike). The birds flushed out and up into the clearing sky. Prepared for basic photogroaphy, I already had my rusty+trusty Tamron 17mm manual lens mounted, as I had been shooting from the bridge before the downpour. I had the camera on "Automatic", as it was a fairly flatly-lit day and I was trying to take photos of my companions hitch hiking. I took just under 14 pictures in as i waited for the birds flushed in two groups from under the bridge. The first group reacted to our noise, the second reacted to the thunder clap moments later. So did we! The sun rays only showed on the last 3 or 4 frames, and the second frame had the best bird grouping. That's all i remember about the image. Hope this satisfies the requests for info!
