lex_photo 0 Posted February 26, 2008 Although this is blurred, I like it. Do you think it would have been better if it was a bit more in focus? Thanks for your advice - Lex Link to comment
acarodp 0 Posted February 26, 2008 I think the motion blur is nice and meaningful, and the strongly saturated colours give strength to the image. What disturbs me is the saturation on the flame, it almost looks like a "hole". Of course, you cannot control easily the exposure in these situations. Nice image! L. Link to comment
lex_photo 0 Posted February 26, 2008 Thank you Luca. I didn't even notice how overexposed the fire is. I'll have to work on that. Thanks again - Lex Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 6, 2008 I love the colours, the motion and the sense of foreground / background. Looked at larger, those flames at the bottom are so impressive. Thank you Lex. How did you do this? Link to comment
lex_photo 0 Posted June 7, 2008 Thanks Hakim. I did this by accident. I was really hoping that with the flames I would get enough light to not have a blurry photo, but when it came out this way, I thought I actually liked it better. We had to wait hours for the show, and I was determined to take photos no matter what, so it was totally of no talent of my own that I got this one. Just stubbornness to not admit that I had carried my camera for no reason. Thanks so much again this has really become one of my favorites. - Lex Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted August 29, 2008 most of the time I have problems with dance photo's that are not tack sharp. In this case however it works just great. It looks very dynamic and is probably a good reflection of what you saw. I get a sense of great dynamics which is topped off by those tremendous colours and sense of mystery. I can see why it's one of your favourites Link to comment
lex_photo 0 Posted August 29, 2008 Thanks again Ton. I think that as I'm getting better with GIMP and iPhoto, I'm going to have to go back and try to get rid of the "hole", but I still love this photo if for no other reason then the memories, which is why I got into photography in the first place. Thanks again - Lex Link to comment
