tmcde703 0 Posted February 24, 2008 Just wondering if this is a good moon picture or not. Link to comment
winn 0 Posted February 25, 2008 Nice shot! I'm not familiar with that camera - so I don't know what power your lens is. You have good details in the craters when viewed larger. Maybe crop a little tighter... Link to comment
jwhite3.0 0 Posted February 25, 2008 Hi Teresa, I think you are almost there. You have your own vision of a moon image so take my comments as those with my own preferences. I see a yellow cast to your moon on my monitor. Maybe a white balance issue or it happened to be a yellow-ish moon that night. I converted your image to B+W then played with brightness and contrast. I think your pic needed a small hit of the Photoshop sharpness filter. I think all of the elements are here just a bit of tweaking. As Brian mentioned, might be useful to crop some of the background unless you are going for a certain effect.http://gallery.photo.net/photo/6987031-lg.jpgMoon Link to comment
winn 0 Posted February 25, 2008 I agree with what John says. I do know I get an yellowish Moon image when I set the White Balance to sunlight and a more grayish (black & white) Moon image when I set the White Balance to auto. This is on an Canon XTi/D400. Link to comment
