jcpopper 0 Posted February 26, 2008 Very fine work, David. I agree with Rachel's critigue. Warm regards, Joe Link to comment
petemillis 0 Posted March 4, 2008 David, I think this works really well too - but for some reason I keep seeing organs! One thing I would add is that perhaps this is an image that would benefit from a saturation boost to really bring out the red. I took the liberty of doing this and came out with the attached.... i've upset the background colour in doing so though! Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted March 5, 2008 I like the more intense red you've done, and at least on this small image I'm not seeing a lot of change in the background. I thought of bumping the saturation and didn't for who-knows-what-reason. I may try tinkering a bit more with this one and see if I can bring out the red without changing the rest. Thanks very much for taking the time to look, comment and to work on this image! Link to comment

dseltzer 0 Posted June 9, 2008 That's because Siggy was quite sexually preoccupied, and much of his work on infantile and juvenile sexuality has been discarded. That said, his writings have left an incredibly strong impression on us. Sometimes I wonder if we'd see sexual references in images the same if not for what Freud said...? Link to comment
rachelfoster 0 Posted June 9, 2008 I think Siggy had the guts to point out what most of us are too afraid to admit, even to ourselves. Of course, Siggy can't hold a candle to Horney when it comes to understanding "human nature," but.... (Lordy, am I a stinker or what??) Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted June 9, 2008 This isn't off topic, is it ;) How would you like to have a name like Horney?! Do you think it would limit your career options??? Link to comment
rachelfoster 0 Posted June 9, 2008 LOL...we need to discuss the history of the profession. Link to comment
