I can't decide which one is better.

I prefer the other shot ... it is a touch more graphically interesting. This one is more conventional in composition. I would be happy to have taken either of them.

Lived on the east coast of Canada for 3 years. Unfortunately found it so depressing there I couldn't get up the energy to do any serious photography. I like this picture better than the other one. This one is much more balanced and the main focal point, the search light, and tower look more pleasing. Love the colors and the warm glow of both visible lights.

 

This and a decent waterfall picture still elude me. Wish it were mine.
