bretsch 0 Posted February 23, 2008 Few people see a flower - really - it is so small it takes time - we have no time - and to see takes time...Thank you for taking the time to see, and comment. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted February 23, 2008 Let me know what you think on the grain, and color of this one; in your opinion, is it too much or is it ok?......thanks Link to comment
marian1 0 Posted February 23, 2008 Quite nice colouring. Good texturing as well. REgards! Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted February 23, 2008 Looks like you are into something great here, about creating new reference. Go man, go - and if you ask me, the grain on your attached sample is just fine. Remember, it all boils down to what ever the final photo is gonna be, a print or screen delight... Delicious! Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted February 25, 2008 Thanks for dropping by! Love the closeup here and the abstract feel it creates. Some of the highly saturated colours may be "out of gamut" for a print, but on-screen they work well. One notes also that because of the high saturation, some "bleeding" of colours is occurring as well - which may be what you intended. The grain seems fine, although the overall effect appears limited by your narrow DOF. Overall, nice use of colour!!! Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted February 25, 2008 It truly stands out. The colors are so intense that they look like precious stones. Do what your heart tells you; in the end the only critic that you need to please is yourself. Creative and unique composition. Bravo. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted February 28, 2008 This bright mini-universe works well. The exaggeration doesn't get in the way, but actually transforms the flowers into something not of this world. Lovely work. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted February 29, 2008 A very interesting composition. I like the way you have turn this flower into an abstract with your use of shadows, crop. etc. To me the grain as well as the boost in saturations work well with the style you are working with in this image. The flower structure on the right hand side reminds me of Haida tribe ( west coast Canadian aboriginal people) raven masks. Link to comment
