Blustry morning out at Red Rock. Like the way this shot converted to

black and white. Thanks for looking and comments are always

welcomed...RAY

Nice capture. I wanted to head out to Red Rock a couple of weeks ago after the snow dusted the mountains, but never made it. I've always had a difficult time transfering the magnitude of the canyon onto film, but you managed to capture it in this shot. Well done.

Red Rock is my favorite place to head to on my day off. Cool living in Vegas. We have Red Rock, Valley of fire, Mt. Charleston and of course, " The Strip ". Thanks for the kind comments, they were much appreciated. I really liked your folio. Band shots were up close and personal. Oh, The Yankee shots were ok too, But I'm a Cleveland transplant. You've got some really great captures going on in your folio. Nice to see another PNer from the Vegas area. Will be checking back to see your latest additions...RAY ps Check out Kristy Cannon shot of Red Rock. She's also a local Pner.

Ray, yes the larger view is much more impressive, makes you feel you are closer & involved in the scene. The clouds are unique, looks as if they are trying to force the rock formations down. Best regards-Ross

There is no doubt in my mind, Ray; that this is absolutely one of your finest landscapes, and just a sterling black and white conversion! Exquisite light, particularly how it just grazes the tops of the foreground brush. Perfect exposure too. Well done, Ray; well done! Good sharp details; this really all comes together. Cheers! Chris

Thanks for the great comments. Nasty cold and windy day out there. Shot a baker's dozen and managed to get workable photos for half of them. I really like heading out there when the weather is less than perfect because it makes for more dramatic photography. Yesterday was really clouded over so did a lot of waiting for the sun to pop thru. Thanks again, and Chris, DVNP was a lot colder last weekend...RAY

Woo,woo, woo! This is a real beauty. Wonderful handling of the high & values; you've squeezed all of the values out. Well done!

Ray sorry I missed this one in the photo critque forum. GREAT IMAGE! The clouds really turn this into a great image. Once again the contrast and tone of the image is great. VERY NICE! Chris
