Glowing Fur

roger_tan

I found this Goat's beard fury seed ball in the Garden one evening and it has come to its age and fully in tact. I wondered what should I do with it, whether just to take another normal macro shot where there are lots of great one out there. Since it is at night I was thinking about the moon but unlikely the moon called for a "night-off". So I set up artificial lightings and took some shots simulating the moon, which supposed to directly shinning behind it and making it glows. I set the DOF for some softness behind for the effect of glowing. To my surprise, it works quiet well. All I did was curves adjustments in PS and crop in just a little to emphasize the subject and that's about it.Shutter speed 1/8 at f/8, Focal length 11mm

Well done to a certain extent... but I'm honestly not very enthusiasic about the concept - just personal taste here. I'd rather have this glow than going rhrough so wild colors. Regards.
