A fantastic photo. The glint of sunlight off of the wings add to the moment of being there in the crowd looking up and hearing that beautiful roar of the engines. Wow. Great job, Steven.

The jets are nicely composed against the clouds, but initially I had a problem determining that the jets were actually the Thunderbirds. The sun reflecting off of the wings is nice looking , but I would like to have seen the signature red nose cones or the detail of the thunderbird outlines a little more clearly. Like I say, it may just be me, so don't take me too seriously.

I hope you did not intend for the clouds to be pink. Funny thing is the smoke from the engines is white but the clouds are not.

A lot of people shoot pictures at air shows, hence my lower mark on originality. But the execution of this shot is terrific. You were fortunate to have an interesting sky. The relections off of several of the wings adds interest. I might cropped this to have made it a bit narrower. There is a lot of dead space to the right, and a little to the left side of the frame.

You were really lucky for this one... The composition lines nearly have a mathematical

"touch" in the combination of clouds and aircrafts. Very clean. Sky colour is beautiful too.

Nice job. The speed of the plane make this shot very difficult and you got everything very crisp. Would like the clouds cropped down just a little on top.

With all the previous junky air-show photos we've seen, this is one is well executed and timed.

Yeah, maybe a polarizer could be used, but maybe not. For that matter B/W with a red filter might have done the job also....all hypothetical. I do find the pink cast in this photo annoying though. The smoke produced by dumping oil into the exhaust manifolds of stunt planes tend to be slightly bluish green, which is why the smoke is white in this shot but the clouds are megenta.

On a side topic, I've been to a lot of air-shows in my life-time and I personally think to much emphasis is placed on the Blue Angels/Thunderbirds, and shows that book them do so to draw large crowds at the expense of other acts. Not to take away from the skill of formation flying at high speeds, but I've seen both the Blues and Thunderbirds this year, and corresponding F-14 / F-15 solo demos were far more dramatic and intense. One F-15 pilot had his routine choreographed to a variety of well picked music, and would have stayed in the air as long as the show's schedule would let him.
