lonebearimages 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Powerful composition, powerful image! Is this a Frank Lloyd Wright? It sure has that feel. Wonderful tones; might have possiblities as a monochrome. You ought to be able to do something with this in your abstract work as well. Well done, Katherine; and take care, my friend! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
katherineerickson 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Thanks Chris and yes it is a Frank Lloyd Wright building. It is located in Los Feliz at the to of the hill and has excellent views from all around. When I took my kids, they said it looked like a fortress. I tried it in b&w but I did not like the final look. Thanks Katherine Link to comment
s_williams 0 Posted February 26, 2008 Katherine, The way you've shot Wright's textured pattern here, it's very Escheresque. Interesting, I've never before connected those artists together. Also, the sky profile and shape are as bold as the wall. As for your title, I don't know, the wall seems to be speaking back. Very good work at preserving the richness and memory of FLW! -Stephen Link to comment
