cmulcahy 1 Posted February 21, 2008 How would I eliminate the flare from the moon? Change the aperture? This was shot w/ a Sigma 10-20. I also tried a 50mm 1.4 and got still got flare and a red ring around the moon. Is there anything I can do or do I need a different lens? Link to comment
jaophotography 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Nice shot, it looks like it is leaning just a little bit to the right, but maybe that's me. The only way I find to eliminate the flare is to expose the moon like a normal sunny day. I just figured this out not long ago, but the sun is shining there like it does here. The only thing is, is that the moon is surrounded by black. So, if you expose for the moon, everything else is black. You could shoot a double exposure, exposing the landscape/black out the moon on the first shot and exposing the moon on the second shot, or take it to photoshop and add a diffent picture of the moon.
