smhickel 0 Posted August 11, 2002 Chris, Good job. What is she drinking? Milk or water? Nice milk on upper lip would have been even more interesting, but just an idea. Thanks for rating my photos. Steve Link to comment
randy_keller2 0 Posted August 13, 2002 Oh yeh...This works! But for me it is a lovingly gifted preverbial finger I muse on...Says to me "You hurt my feelings you little shit"...Funny? Yes..to me it is an endearing emotional photo that makes me smile...Make the TITLE more open to allow others their own interpretation?....Like the wide angle here but especialy the black sleeve to chest arc that complements the contrasted cup rim...excellent work. mg 0 Posted August 22, 2002 I like the angle and the face. Not the title, because ir says something I didn't see in the image, and I prefer whar I saw - which is a person treateninng the camera...:-)Aesthtically, it can be improved... I wish the cup and finger were all sharp - a smaller aperture. Then, the light on the face is far from great - didn't need to be a cosmetic kind of shot of course, but a bit brighter would be good. Finally, I'm not too keen about having so nuch of sad grey around... Possibly I'd try to get as much whire around her as possible especially behind her and front left. You could try dodging in PS, to see how it looks. Maybe to the point where the edge of the table would disappear, and she would be left mysteriousy hanging in the air... Could be fun too. Regards. cakeller98 0 Posted August 22, 2002 ...the smaller aperture. I would have really liked it if the cup and hand were all completely in focus. As for the sad gray... she's not feeling well, and is kinda "sad" about that, so I thought it worked. The title's not completely random. The point is that, she's not feeling well (she's not) and the expression is an inside joke, not that I think you have to know it to get it but... I guess... if she's "threatening the camera" why does she have a visibly over-the-top "poor me" expression? However... I can't argue with the way people see my images (or anyone elses), as I have no control over it, other than how I show the image. So.... with that said :) Thanks for the input. Link to comment
