Wat yahgoona do abt dat ?

A working shot from the session - from the second set up of light - grin to add sizzle what you need is a good looking babe and a little more intensity on lights.

From a digital camera capture from a studio session about 14 days

back. Was using the digital camera the kodak DC265 to simulate a

polariod back. The crop is intensional to give a in your face feel to

this.

First of all, i think the crop is too tight - the model looks compressed in the format (and her expression just points out that for me - she`s not relaxed, probably the start of the shoot).

Her pants are just disapearing at the bottom of the picture which looks weird.

The hairlight is good but would work better if all of her hair were lit.

Also i find a bit distracting the backlitted left hand - should be on both.

Oh - here`s my crop,..

I find the hair light to be quite distracting. It should light all the hir or not be there. I think you may have cropped too much off the sides and not enough off the bottom for the 'in your face' look as you put it. And he expression doesnt match that either.

I still like it though, overall its a pretty picture.

This is a well done studio shot. I agree about the crop just a little added to the sides might help. david has the right idea, tho oddly executed :)....The light on the arm and in the hair seemd ok though it may give us more info than we need on where the light is.

My only problem is a difficulty in getting excited abt the picture, the studio atmosphere, her pose and the lighting add up to a good 'model portfolio' piece, but is otherwise not very captivating. Imo.

I agree that the crop looks a bit tight. Very smooth lighting, very nice. This picture would have benefitted from a low-power catchlight just behind the camera and to the side, I think.

If the crop was intentional to give the feeling of "boxing" in the model you might have considered bringing the bottom up to her hands. I get where you are going with that.

The lighting, pose and expression are very well done.

The photo is nice, pretty model and good lighting, but a bit bland. She looks too purposely posed with her hands like that; I don't know anyone who would stand like that. I don't get the "in your face" bit...she doesn't seem to be very intimidating, agressive, etc. to me. Maybe if her hands were on her hips?

In terms of the framing, I think that maybe a square crop, just below her hands with more room on her right and left, might work...? Good technique here, but it doesn't really "grab" me.

I like it - but she feels a bit craped in there with her arms to close to the edge of the frame. I love the lighting on the hair (which I am guessing is uplighting from behind?) but it would have been cool to be able to make out her legs. They just appear to be non-existant

Nice standard glamour shot. The hairlight is a little hot, but it still works, and although the model has an almost pensive expression, the hands look relaxed. Nice limning on the underside of the right arm. The skin tones look good as well.
