Shot with the tripod set low to the ground. Lens plane tilted downward and film plane tilted back to accomidate depth of field. Exposure eight seconds at f/32.

Photographing in the forrest is really really tough. I am not sure that to do with this negative I like what is in it detail wise but I don't particularly like the top , how bright it is, yet I can't very well crop it out. I have one other negative of the same scene which is a little lighter overall but lacks some of the detail, the top is darker in it though. Any suggestion on ways to print it or ways you might crop it would be appreciated, as well as whether or not you think it is strong composition. The one criticism I have is that the photo seems to lack a strong subject--the darker diagonal and vertical tree trunks get lost in the jumble of branches. You might try cropping to the left of the prominent vertical trunk on the left side. A general burn-in of the top area might also help a little. I like the tonality of the photo and the detail is wonderful.
