A sleepy Koala enjoying some rest and relaxation.

FACT: Koala's are so very lazy simply because the Eucalyptus leaves

(staple food) convert only to 2% total energy once the Koala has

digested them!

The perspective and the long claws create an fairly unusual koala image--it certainly doesn't reinforce the cute-and-cuddly reputation. It's a worthwhile image for that alone. Good tone and texture as well. A little more DOF to make the nearest claws a little sharper would help I think.

Fantastic image! I was drawn to it straight away. Love the B&W conversion - it works well here. Love the composition and tight crop too - very well done indeed! Rgds Carole

That's some wicked claws! Was taken with the wider focal length of your lens? I've never remembered Koalas having such long claws! Good job with the composition, arm leads to the face and the eyes lead back to the arm.
