httpwww.photos.netphot 0 Posted February 17, 2008 Took this from my back deck, cropped out unwanted manmade elements (houses and part of a water tower). Not sure if the composition still works, but I love the rich pre-dawn colors. Please take the time to comment, thanks. Link to comment
yves_p 0 Posted February 17, 2008 Very beautiful picture. Amazingly bright colours for a sunrise. I like the composition although I think that there are too many subjects on the bottom: the nice yellow cloud stripes, the dark pine on the right and the hill in the middle. Cheers. Yves P. httpwww.photos.netphot 0 Posted February 17, 2008 Thanks for your input, Yves. As I said, I'm not that happy with the comp, I had to crop too much out. The view is from my back deck, and since it is not ideal, I tried to be as creative as possible given the limitations. The only thing that redeems it I think, is the amazing range of color from top to bottom. I also like the way the branches frame the right side. BTW, that hill is actually the top of Mt. Rainier. I cropped it at that point due to houses that are in the foreground. I was thinking of cropping the top third off so it would feel less bottom heavy. Let me know what you think. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. Regards, Joe Link to comment
