thadley 15 Posted February 17, 2008 I have not listed all of the names of those who rated and/or commented on this image, but I am truly appreciative. At this time, I believe I have rated and/or commented on everyone's images who left their mark here. It took a while but I feel that is the true essence of PN. If by chance I missed someone, please drop me a line. Have a great and blessed day and I look forward to learning and being inspired by the fantastic work being displayed on this site. kristyc 0 Posted February 18, 2008 Holy Cow! This is AMAZING Tony!!! I feel like I'm on a distant hill looking down on this remarkably captured scene! I can almost feel the brisk chill in the morning air! I also love the calmness as well. Perfectly composed. This is a wonderful image, I can't wait to see more....All the best, Kristy :) Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted February 19, 2008 ... but this is the shot of yours that I like the best, perhaps. Wonderful shot, great angle looking down. Everything in the shot just works, flat out. Great job. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted February 19, 2008 Kristy thanks for the very strong endorsement / Dennis, there are no small voices on PN and certainly not yours. Best regards, Link to comment
gial 0 Posted February 20, 2008 this is the first photo I saw of yours. It's really magic: light, composition, fog, small boats, the house, ... everything. Then I had a look to your gorgeous portfolio and I'm speechless. Thanks for sharing. Regards. Gino Link to comment
pascalagneray 0 Posted February 28, 2008 oouh this picture has magic in it. The house stands as the guardian of the harbor, that's the roof message with its stark and imposing but protective presence. Link to comment
deniselanterman 0 Posted March 4, 2008 Tony, what a magnificant image. I love it. Cheers. Denise Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted March 7, 2008 I'm getting here late, so it's all been said before me. I like the rich tones of the building and area surrounding it and the mystery created by the early morning mist. Very well composed, great image! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 11, 2008 An eye catcher Tony, no wonder it took me an hour to get here....:-)) I will therefor only add, that it is a beauty and very well executed. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 11, 2008 I have been away from PN for a couple of weeks for good reasons and will start back slowly over the next week or so. Many thanks for the recent and strong endorsement of this image. It is very much appreciated. Will try and visit your portfolios but it may take some time. Link to comment
daved1 1 Posted March 26, 2008 This is a beautiful photo. The lack of people and the calm waters gives me a sense of tranquility. Then my eye catches all the boats and I get the feeling of chaos and the call to action. I like it alot. 6/6. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 26, 2008 It is one of my favorite images. - Early in the morning in Whittier Harbor, I saw and took many interesting images within a span of 30 minutes or so. Glad you liked it and I appreciate the comments and rating. Link to comment

charliemastrovich 0 Posted August 19, 2008 Tony, This is a beautiful, intimate and peaceful image. Too often we take city/urban shots from a ground perspective that clutters our capture with too much information for the brain to sort out. By you using the height of the Ships upper deck and the extra set back distance, the capture become believable and intimate. Superb job. I love everything including the matte and the font you chose. Christal1664882414 0 Posted December 4, 2008 This would be a grand image by any measure, but the fog puts it over the top. When I have time I'm going to search through your portfolio for more Alaska pictures. My husband and I plan to make that our next big trip. This is a wonderful image! Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted December 5, 2008 Joe, Charles and Christal: many thanks for your insightful and constructive comments. Christal, You can visit a folder I have on Alaska. I would love to go back and I am trying to see if this is achievable next year and finances is a major consideration. Try a google search on "alaska Road trip" and you should find some wonderful accounts. I started my 2 week journey right after Sept Labor day week-end. Link to comment
