Trying to mazimize tonal range. Suggestions?

Forgot to mention my first approach. PS Channel mixer w/ red @ -82, green @ +68, and blue @ +122. Darkened w/ Levels and slight contrast added with Curves.

Robert, that sounds more like a recipe for some sort of exotic omelet, than a simple image, but on saying that, the results are pretty nice indeed, well done! All the best..........roger
